Who is Eligible to Attend?

Northwest Career and Technical Academy courses are provided free for 9-12th grade students, individuals age 14 to 20 who have not received a high school diploma, and individuals age 14 to 20 who have earned a GED. Students may attend during the summer after their 8th grade year.

How Much Does it Cost?

Just like our normal Northwest Career & Technical Academy Courses, our Summer Session is free to attend*. Additionally, the Mount Vernon School District provides a small snack at no charge to students 18 years of age and younger attending our program at our main Mount Vernon campus.

Credits and Certifications

Students can earn a semester (0.5) high school education credit for successful completion of a Summer Session course. Attendance is mandatory to receive credit. College credits and industry-specific certifications are not offered during our Summer Session.

Course Schedules

Just like our normal Northwest Career & Technical Academy Courses, our Summer Session is free to attend*. The courses run from 7:45am to 12:30pm.
