NCTA's Welding course is designed for students who would like to develop metalworking skills as a foundation for continuing education, or as a gateway to joining the workforce.
Students are trained in the basic skills of shielded metal arc welding (Stick), Oxy-fuel, and plasma cutting, and can work up to, gas metal and flux cored arc welding (MIG), tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) , and other specialty metal working processes.
Additionally, students will learn to read welding blueprints, fundamental fabrication math, and how to safely use a large variety of metalworking tools. This class offers many opportunities for students who are highly motivated, and is a great place for those who excel in a hands-on learning environment.
