Who is Eligible to Attend?

Northwest Career and Technical Academy courses are provided free for 9-12th grade students, individuals age 14 to 20 who have not received a high school diploma, and individuals age 14 to 20 who have earned a GED. Students may attend during the summer after their 8th grade year.

How Much Does it Cost?

Just like our normal Northwest Career & Technical Academy Courses, our Summer Session is free to attend*. Additionally, the Mount Vernon School District provides breakfast and lunch at no charge to students 18 years of age and younger attending our program at our main Mount Vernon campus.

Credits and Certifications

Students can earn a semester (0.5) high school education credit for successful completion of a Summer Session course. Attendance is mandatory to receive credit. College credits and industry-specific certifications are not offered during our Summer Session.
