NCTA is excited to have so many partnerships with districts through out Skagit and Whatcom Counties! With schools implementing new technology for remote learning, it’s not surprising that snag have occurred.
It appears that on some school district devices, students are not able to connect and access their NCTA (@studnets.mvsd320.org) accounts. These accounts are critical as students are connected to their NCTA Google Classroom. (Automotive students will be accessing a different platform and communication will go directly to that class).
Problem: I can’t add an account from my district device to access my @studnets.mvsd320.org account and I do not attend another school in Mount Vernon.
Solutions from Districts:
Anacortes (from Mr. Pohl)
ASD students will be able to add an additional account to their Chromebook. On an ASD-owned Chromebook, here's how:
At the login screen, select Add Person
Enter the full email address: email@example.com, select Next
Enter the password provided by the MVSD, select Next
Sedro Woolley (from Mr. Haner)
There is no block in place but students are not setup to add secondary accounts inside their swsd101.org accounts. Our current solution for this issue is to use the guest account at the login screen to access the NCTA/MVSD accounts.
Meridian (from Mr. Forbes)
firstname.lastname@example.org is who we send our student tech issues to.
Problem: I don’t know how to get into Google Classroom.
Solution: Go to gmail.com
Add an account.
Enter your email account YYFFFFLLLLLLLL@students.mvsd320.org (Grad Year, First Four Letters of First Name, Last Name)
Enter Your Password: (7 digit student number)
Find the 9 dots towards the top of the screen.
Then select the Classroom Icon (Green Chalkboard with Orange Frame)
Then Join the NCTA Class.
Problem: I can’t log into my @studnets.mvsd320.org account. My user name and password seem to be invalid and I do not attend another school in Mount Vernon.
