Employability Expectations -- Click here to see the Rubic
Our “Workplace Expectations” rubric is an important piece of NCTA. This rubric was developed with our General Advisory Committee and with our Staff. These attributes of Attitude, Reliability, Responsibility, Professionalism, Initiative, Respect and Integrity are at the core of building soft skills within our students. We will be utilizing this tool throughout the year to track our individual and school progress towards becoming a highly sought after Candidate for Employment.
While at NCTA, students are working on meeting high school credits but many of our programs also have the opportunity to earn college credits for free! All program instructors maintain high standards and attendance expectations for their programs. These standards teach what all employers expect of their employees:
- Being dependable – Students are expected to be at school/work every day.
- Being on time - Students are expected to be prompt, not late, and ready to work.
- Doing a full day's work – Students are expected to stay on task, not leaving early or stopping work early, but completing what is expected and putting materials away.
Are you looking for a transcript for your college application? NCTA is a non-transcribing entity. Please see this memo if you need to include a notice with your application. Non-Transcribing Entity Memo
College credit is available through Tech Prep through Skagit Valley College (or Bellingham Technical College for Welding) for High School students that have been enrolled for the whole year. Partial Credit is not available.
