Applied Medical Science This program introduces students to the knowledge and skills applicable to many medical occupations. Students will explore careers in their areas of interest, as well as in targeted demand areas for future job openings.
Dental Technology This will be an introduction to some of the academic, technical, and professional skills necessary to work in the dental profession. We will be investigating tooth morphology, dental instruments, patient homecare instruction, oral health education evaluation, effective office and patient communication techniques and an introduction to chair side characteristics.
Fire Science & EMS Experience the exciting and high-demand world of fire-fighters and emergency medical responders. Learn about fire prevention, inspection, investigation, alarm systems, dispatching, and emergency medical services. There are many career pathways within the Fire Science & EMS career pathway.
NCTA is an integral part of K-12 public education and operates as an extension of a student’s high school and within a partnership with Skagit Valley College. The primary purpose is to give students the academic and work skills to successfully enter the job market or advanced education / training.
